NAHCON has so far airlifted a total number of 21, 161 pilgrims who performed this year hajj from Saudi Arabia back home within 12 days of commencement of pilgrims return journey.
The pilgrims were airlifted by the three approved air carriers: Max Air, Medview Airline and Saudi Arabia designate Airline, Flynas Airline.
The Onshore airlift process was kick started on 6th of September, a day behind initially scheduled date of 7th September with 486 FCT pilgrims through Saudi Arabia designate airline, Flynas Airline. Kaduna, Katsina, FCT, Zamfara, Yobe, Gombe, Kwara, Ogun, Adamawa, Sokoto, Lagos and Niger states pilgrims are among the states pilgrims that has been airlifted back to Nigeria.
Kaduna states has the highest number of pilgrims airlifted so far with 3, 392 followed by Katsina with 2, 125 and FCT 2, 121 pilgrims. The airlifts process is expected to end on 5th of September 2017.
