NAHCON official handing over the money to Kebbi Pilgrims
For failure to adequately feed some pilgrims of Kebbi state, the national hajj commission of Nigeria has compelled a caterer to refunds the sum of SR850 to Kebbi state pilgrims.
The Coordinator of Makkah office Alhaji Usman Suleiman handed over the 850 Saudi Riyals to the pilgrims of Kebbi State. He said the money was collected from a Caterer who supplied poor quality fòod to the pilgrims last week.
He said it was part of the determined efforts of the Commission to ensure that pilgrims’ rights were protected throughout the hajj exercise. He said “we are here to return the sum of 850SR to the pilgrims of Kebbi State who were supplied with poor quality food last week”.
The beneficiaries were those that came in the first and second flights. He added that NAHCON was determined to ensure provision of quality food to the pilgrims thereby reduce incidences of sicknesses related to consumption poorly prepared and unhygienic food
