IG WALA Arraign in FCT High Court for Criminal Defamation

The convener of citizen for action to take back Nigeria (CATBAN) Ibrahim Garba Wala has been arraigned in FCT HIGH COURT for criminal intimidation, defamation of characters and false accusations as well as inciting the general public against Barr Abdullahi Mukhtar Muhammed, the chairman of National Hajj commission of Nigeria


The case which cames up for hearing today at Abuja FCT HIGH COURT 32, was later adjourned to April 12 2018 for definite hearing after the counsel to IG Wala pleads for time to study the amended charges..


IG WALA had earlier posted in his Facebook page alleging that NAHCON Chairman made N3billion for himself after 2017 hajj exercise. The Chairman later dragged him to Court to prove his allegations,.



It will recall that NAHCON Chairman has earlier petition Inspector General of Police against IG WALA which eventually leads to his arrest, detention and subsequent arraignment in the FCT High Court.


Similarly, The NAHCON Chairman had earlier instituted a civil suit against IG Wala where he is demanding for N1.5 Billion naira for defamation of characters . The case in Federal High Court in Abuja cames up on 20th February and has been adjourned to 23rd April for hearing.
